At the beginning of class, I was really unaware. I had no idea that there were so many different technology and software out there that can be used in a classroom. But I'm still unsure about using cell phones in the classroom. I guess that is something I'm going to have to see in person before implementing it into my own class.
But who knew there were so many different ways to use Word or PowerPoint and Excel.
This class has just helped me to open my eyes to new possibilities and more creative ways to reach students who are aready so immersed into this technological culture.

Honestly Tammy, I also think cell phones would hinder more than foster a learning environment in the classroom. There's just too many other applications and being a personal device it can be really difficult to make sure students are on task. But we've expanded our minds to new technologies and to new applications for same technologies like Word and PowerPoint. So many ideas!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you both. This class has forced us to think outside of the box about how to use different forms of technology in the classroom. I know, Tammy, who knew all the different ways to use the Microsoft office prgrams!?
